The Practerra Sustainability Program (PSP) was developed with six key objectives to bring about change in the normal operation of our supply chain. We are determined to aid in any measure necessary to eradicate illegal logging resulting in deforestation of natural habitats in native forests.
All of the products that Practerra sells are sustainably managed and can be certified either by FSC or the relevant PEFC organisation as per customer requirements.
The PSP key objectives
We are committed to the avoidance of degradation of native lands and unsustainable forestry practices globally.
All of the products that Practerra sells are certified sustainable.
We respect and value the rights of indigenous people and land holders as well as rural communities whose livelihoods depends on the production of wood products and we embrace our responsibility to protect these communities and foster their development as part of a long-term approach to environmental sustainability.
We support and encourage participation in global sustainable forestry certification schemes such as PEFC and FSC to help protect the world’s forests from poor management practices and illegal harvesting.
4. CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT
We seek improvements in our environmental impact wherever possible, from improving our own business operations to seeking improvements in sustainable plantation management with the cooperation of our clients and customers.
We insist that our suppliers comply with all relevant laws and we work to ensure that all our suppliers’ products are produced and sold legally.
6. POSITIVE OUTCOMES
We are committed to the positive outcome of all transactions and relationships, and to conducting ourselves ethically and with respect.
